What is a virtual conference?

Virtual conferences recreate the feeling of being at a physical conference and are

easy to navigate and visually captivating.  Most of the same information can be provided, experienced, and taught at a virtual conference just as it is at an in-person conference.

 

 

Why Should I attend the NJ TransAction Virtual Conference?

With the exception of the physical contact, anyone attending the NJ TransAction Conference will experience the same information, workshop presentations, planning and engineering credits, exhibitor information and networking opportunities through chat dialogue.  We understand that a virtual conference is new to most.  We just hope you keep an open mind and give it a chance.  We are most certain YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Where will the event be held?

This is an online event. You do not have to travel to any specific location. You can participate anywhere that you have Internet access. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile devices, and tablet.

 

 

Why Should My Company Exhibit?

The NJ TransAction Conference could have easily been cancelled tis year because of COVID-19 however, we value the exhibitors and attendees who have always supported this conference.  Presently, there is no place in this country for a business and company to physically attend to show and display and promote their products, services, and equipment.  The NJ TransAction Conference wants to bring your company and business to those who need or may need the services you can provide and sell.  Let the NJ TransAction Conference be your meeting place.

As a paid exhibitor how can I invite my potential customers to visit my exhibit booth for FREE?

The NJ TransAction Conference understands how difficult the last several months have been without being able to physically “sell” and promote your services.  In order to promote our exhibitors, arrangements have been made to provide FREE entrance into the virtual exhibit hall on October 20th.  A few days before the “live” event day, exhibitors will receive a link to share with your rolodex of existing and potential customers inviting them into the exhibit hall.  You have a list of 100 names – invite them…you have a list of 1,000 names – invite them.   FREE attendees will only have access to the exhibit hall.

 

 

Is it difficult creating a virtual exhibit booth?

No.  The NJ TransAction Conference has made this process as easy as  possible by hiring a professional production company who will work directly with the exhibitors and will build the virtual exhibit booth to the satisfaction of the exhibitor.  The production company will be in direct contact with exhibitor.

What does it mean “Live” event Day on October 20th?

At the “live” event day on October 20th, you will be able chat in live real time with exhibitors, workshop presenters, poster session students and other attendees.  There will be a feeling of a live conference without physically being there.

 

 

What is the difference between a semi-live presentation and an on-demand presentation?

A semi-live workshop presentation is pre-recorded but scheduled to be started at a specific time.  At the end of the semi-live presentation, the session presenter(s) come back onto your computer screen in live real time and answers Q&A and comments which are sent to them through a chat box dialogue.

 

An On-Demand workshop session is a pre-recorded session that can be watch at any time.  On the live event day on October 20th, there will be a dedicated chat room for each on-demand workshop session.  We have asked the presenters of the on-demand workshops to monitor the dedicated session chat room for Q&A.

 

 

How long can I view the presentations and visit the exhibit hall?

The NJ TransAction Conference will be an online “live” event on October 20th.  The event will remain open 24/7 for 30 days in an on-demand format. Therefore, you can attend whenever it’s convenient for you during this period of time. Real time chat with exhibitors, workshop presenters, poster session students and other attendees will only be available on October 20th.

 

 

Are there specific times on the “live event day (October 20th) to watch workshop sessions?

Yes, some sessions will be scheduled as semi-live workshops and will start showing at a specifically designated times.  Other workshop sessions will be on-demand presentations and can be viewed at any time on the “live” event day on October 20th.  After October 20th, all workshops can be viewed at any time 24/7.

 

 

The times for the live events are not convenient for me. Can I still participate?

Yes, the NJ TransAction Conference will be an online “live” event on October 20th.  The event will remain open 24/7 for 30 days in an on-demand format. Therefore, you can attend whenever it’s convenient for you during this period of time. We understand your schedule may not allow you to attend all of the semi-live sessions of the event.

 

 

Are the workshop presentations eligible for NJ planning and/or engineering CE credits?

Yes, just like our in-person NJ TransAction Conference, many of our workshop sessions (both semi-live and on-demand) will be eligible for New Jersey PDH and AICP (Planners and Engineers) Continuing Education Credits.  Once a session is deemed CE credit eligible, we will update the session list with this information.

 

 

Do I need to register for this event?

Yes, you’ll need to register for this online event. Simply CLICK the Registration button at the top of the page to register for the NJ TransAction Conference.  Once you register, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

 

 

How do I log in on October 20?

Once you register, your login details will be emailed to you ahead of the event. You can use these details to access the online event.  You will not be able to share your login credentials with others.

 

Who will I be able to chat with?

You’ll be able to live-chat and engage with the exhibitors, workshop session presenters from both the semi-live and on-demand presentation, students from the poster session, other registered attendees and staff from the NJ TransAction Conference.

 

 

Do I need to download or install any information to be able to attend this event?

No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need to have access to the internet.

 

 

Is a webcam required?

No. however, if you want, some exhibitors will have the capabilities of offering group or one on one video chats.

 

 

Is there a help desk?

Yes, on the “live” event day, there will be a help desk and a technology desk available to assist you.

 

 

Who do I contact if I have troubleshooting issues on day-of?

On the "LIVE" event day, you are able to visit the Help Desk for any issues you could be facing with the Virtual Event. Technical Support Representatives will be able to provide you real-time assistance.    

 

 

Will I be able to take away information or brochures from the event?

Yes. Like any physical event, we will have a virtual expo tote bag for you! You will be able to add all of the documents available to your personalized online tote bag. You are able to email the contents of your tote bag and all the information to your personal email address after the event has concluded.  

 

Can I invite my co-workers to attend the event?

Absolutely. We are counting on you to invite others! Help us spread the word. You can simply share the link to this page and they can register at their convenience.

 

 

Can I log in and out throughout the event?

Yes, you can log in and out of the NJ TransAction Conference at any time throughout the event.
